Rippa tournament

Last week on Friday Ngatea School had a mini Rippa tournament. We were put into teams and battled it out on the field.  We had five games and I got 1 try per game. There were spot prizes for showing sportsmanship and other little things.  They gave out Chief flags and normal drink bottles.  I had a lot of fun and I hope we can do it again later this year.

Goal Reflection: I will have positive, supportive, inclusive relationships with the ALL the people around me.

Shipwrecked Sailors Saved By ‘Help’

Three sailors have been rescued from a small island where no-one lives in the Pacific Ocean, after the US Navy and Coast Guard spotted their ‘HELP’ sign on the beach.
The men had been stranded for three days, after their small boat sank, forcing them to swim for the shore.
They made the sign on the sandy beach, using branches from the island’s palm trees.
The men also waved their brightly-coloured life jackets to help their rescuers spot them.
A United States Navy aircrew spotted the sailors on the remote island of Fanadik, in the north Pacific near Guam.
A small boat then picked the men up and took them to Pulap in Federated States of Micronesia.
All of the men are ok

Clicker Shapes

Today we had a challenge in our learning teams. Caliska, Fairven and I made a shape. we had tot use all the colour, it had to have 3 sides and be able to spin. We thought and looked on some of the sheets of ideas.  It took us about 10 minutes but it was really fun.

Term Goal Reflection

'I can make positive choices that are right for my OWN learning'

This week our teachers introduced us to a new thing. We will be having a weekly goal for the whole classroom. This week our goal was 'I can make positive choices that are right for my OWN learning'. I think I did quite well but I think I can do better because I still sit with my friends. But I am slowly branching away from my friends. I will fully reach this goal when I just start sitting by myself and doing my own work. I can and will make this better for my learning because it is my learning not my friends.

Easter 2016

This Easter my family and I went camping at Waharau Regional park. We stayed near the creek. Dad and I went before everyone else and set up the tent. When Mum, Kaylah and Jayde we went down to the creek to see if it was warm and it wasn't. we relaxed for a while and then went down the bigger part of the creek it was a bit warmer but not a lot. We went back to camp and relaxed. We had dinner and then went down tot he creek to try and find some eels. It wasn't very successful. We got to have some chocolate and then went to bed. When we woke up we  went to Orere Point school gala. We went with Poppy and Aunty. There was so many fun games to play. Afterwards we went and chilled at Aunty's for a couple of hours.  Then went and got mussels. All my clothes got soaked so I spent the night at Auntys then we went home. It was a great chocolate filled weekend.
Here is a photo on the way there.
