Group Endeavor Ignition

Today we have been doing more on our group endeavor ignition.   I am in a group working on power and energy. We had to write out our driving question. Our driving question is How can we reduce our carbon footprint?

Some of our questions were.
Is there a point in investing in solar panels?

Would they eventually pay themselves off ?
Could you make solar panels to heat your house?
Can you make solar panels with different shapes?
Can you make solar panels out of recycled items?
Is the energy that we are using now sustainable?
Is there a way for the entire world to preserve energy as a community so that we could use it for a longer period of time?
What would be the cheapest way to travel including fees?
If we made traveling cheaper would it be more expensive in the first place?

I have a few questions to answer and share on my blog.
  • What is it I hope I will come to understand more deeply through this inquiry? How we can save power/ energy to benefit our environment.

  • What knowledge might I need to help move towards this understanding? To learn about solar power and how it works

  • What is it I hope to be able to do more competently?   To be able to tell people what this is doing to our environment and how simply turning off a light can save money.

  • What learning powers will this inquiry help me practice and develop further?  (Explain this)
Resilience I think is the most important one because if it gets hard you can't just give up you have to keep on going.

I think I will need to use Being Me because what if I am only in here because my friends are and i'm not really all that interested in it.

Connecting because I will have to connect with people who know quite a bit about it and my group in particular.

I will have to use Curiosity because if i'm not even interested in it why do I be doing it.

Last of all I think I will need to use Creativity because you have to be creative, Unique and be yourself when it comes to project like these.
